My Daily Makeup Routine

I've made a video/tutorial so click here. It's really simple and natural (which is how I like it to be). Just some natural contouring and a red lip, because I like a little drama (;

Basics: Makeup

The very first thing I thought of doing was a series of basics for anybody who is interested in the alternative scene. Of course, makeup and clothing are the first things to come to mind. But I promise I have more ideas than just that.

Moving right along... Every girl (and I suppose guy) has a few standbys in terms of makeup. I asked some friends and most replied that they usually rely of mascara. And to be perfectly honest, sometimes I leave the house with a single coat of mascara, because it can instantly make you look put together and who doesn't like long spidery lashes? I would suggest a mascara, but I never stick to the same one. But my all time fave is the L'OrĂ©al Paris Voluminous mascara, it looks unbelievably natural! Normally, I don't leave with only mascara on because sometimes mascara on it's own doesn't make your lashes look much different, which brings me to the next must-have...

Eyeliner. Everybody has gotta have it. Usually paired with mascara to give a bold and thick appearance to the lashes. I've been using an N.Y.C pencil eyeliner for a while now and I'm not a fan. Being naturally oily, I find that the eyeliner slips around my lids quite a bit. I'm looking forward to trying some better eyeliners if anybody has any suggestions. I'm also a fan of liquid/gel liners because they last longer on my skin and give a lovely vintage look.

Powder of some sort. I know that during the Summer, people prefer to have dewy skin. People who aren't me. Like I mentioned, I'm oily so I like to try to stay quite matte and the way I do that is with a powder foundation. I use a pressed powder so that I can easily carry it around with me when I go out (which is never HAHA...) Currently, I'm using the new Maybelline Fit Me powder which hasn't made me break out or anything which is really awesome because my skin is quite sensitive and acne prone, oh teenage years...
man I wish I was that pale..
Having acne prone skin, I try not to layer too much makeup so I don't use blushes or bronzers. But I do like to cover up any scarring I have from some traumatic acne. I haven't really settled on any particular concealer because I haven't been using any for a while but the latest purchase was of the Rimmel London brand conveniently named 'Hide the Blemish'. It has good coverage but unfortunately at my local drug store, it only comes in 2 shades... both of which are quite light, almost too light.

Looking for feedback,

Very Exciting Post!

Ok so that was a lie, this is just an intro post with some style inspiration pictures so my future followers can have an idea of who they are following!
First off, I would like to demonstrate my love for all things grunge and 90's:

Loving the dreads <3

I've also been exploring the realm of gothdom and finding myself slightly interested in the deathrock style:

I am a 60's girl at heart, I love hippie styled clothing:

This actually looks so much like me...

I'm also very fond of the hipster goth style (aka nu-goth) which seems to be quite controversial amongst goths:
